翻訳と辞書　辞書検索 [ 開発暫定版 ] スポンサード リンク Nosbonsing and Nipissing Railway ： ウィキペディア英語版 Nosbonsing and Nipissing Railway The Nosbonsing and Nipissing Railway was a portage railway constructed by Ottawa lumberman John Rudolphus Booth in 1884, although its Ontario charter dates from March 1886, after a land claim dispute when Northern and Pacific Junction Railway tried to cross it, (resolved only after) J. R. Booth provided a diamond crossing to allow that railway to cross his. The purpose of this railway was to carry sawlogs from the waters of Lake Nipissing, five and a half miles to Lake Nosbonsing, at the headwaters of the Mattawa River. From there the logs were driven down the Mattawa and Ottawa Rivers to Booth's mills at Ottawa. This railway was abandoned in 1912.
